Appointments
All office visits are by appointment. To schedule an appointment please call our office. You can also click on the Make Appointment link to the left, fill out the form, submit it to us and we will be in touch with you for an appointment. We attempt to schedule appointments in such a manner that delays do not occur. However, we are committed to seeing emergencies in addition to our scheduled patients and cannot always ensure that waiting will not be necessary. We will try to keep these inconveniences to a minimum, and we apologize for their occurrence.
Insurance and Referrals
Greeneville Orthopaedic Clinic is considered a specialty practice. Many insurance companies will not pay for specialty practice charges unless a referral is given from the primary care physician. Please check with your insurance company to see if you need a referral prior to scheduling an appointment with us. Managed care requirements make it necessary for patients who do not have their referral at the time of appointment to either reschedule their appointment or make payment at the time of service. All our physicians are participating providers with Medicare and many other plans.
Telephone Calls
If you call to speak with your doctor or the nurse during office hours, please expect him or her to return your call between patients unless it is extremely urgent. This will allow a minimum of interruptions for patients being seen at the time.
New Patients
To enable our doctor to give you the appropriate care, you will be asked to fill out a patient registration form, which includes a medical history and a list of medications that you take. You must bring your current insurance cards in order for us to file with your insurance company. If your insurance requires co-payments, you will be expected to pay this at the time of service. For your convenience we have put our patient registration forms online. If you have Microsoft Office you can print these forms, fill them out and bring them with you to your appointment.

Prescription Refills
If you need a prescription refill, please call our office between 8:00 - 5:00. You can also click on the Rx Refill link to submit your request by e-mail. You will be asked the following information:
- Your name
- Your date of birth
- Phone number
- Name of medication
- Name of your pharmacy
Your doctor will evaluate your request and make a decision regarding the refill. Refill requests normally take one working day and prescriptions are not filled on nights or weekends. With this in mind, please do not wait until your medication is completely out before calling. You will be notified by one of our nurses if the doctor does not fill your prescription. Please call your pharmacy the following day to see if it has been called in.
Records Request
If you would like a copy of your medical records there will be a minimum of $10.00 fee to cover the cost of duplicating these records. Please print and fill out the medical records release form included here and bring this by our office to pick up your records. You can e-mail us with your name, date of birth and when you will pick these up and we will have them ready for you. Include your e-mail address, we will confirm your request. E-mail us. Greeneville Orthopaedic is conviently located in downtown Greeneville. Our Main Street office is across the street from Walters State College. From Andrew Johnson Highway, turn onto Hwy. 321 South - Business. We are exactly one mile on the right.
